The artist continues to create a variety of carvings and paintings. Some of his creations are commissioned and others are placed in yearly competitions at the larger shows. On March 3rd and 4th at the Desert Woodcarving Show in Phoenix, Arizona, his life-sized strutting ruffled grouse captured the “Best of Professional” Award - his 159th blue ribbon. His carving of a wood duck drake took a second prize as well.
During the week days of the show, Mr. Herrmann will be demonstrating wood carving and painting techniques. His carved feather and bird pins and his limited edition prints will be available.
